Food I cook
Stopped listening to it ages ago, for the most part. Used to be rock, classic rock, alternative, grunge, punk, and even some metal. Now . . . classical? When I listen, that is.
I have no interest in fashion or trends. Absolutely none. In fact, if I ever express concern for what tag is on my handbag, please just shoot me! I dress classically and elegantly.
Clean, spontaneous, clever, sometimes sarcastic but never cruel, sometimes sweet, and almost always suitable for a child to witness.
I've done everything from spinning (as in yarn, on a spinning wheel) to knifesmithing. I am an atelier trained artist, and during my studies I used to draw for at least five hours a day. I'm an oil painter. I write a lot of code, although that isn't really a hobby. Honestly, for me there isn't much difference between hobbies and career interests, since it is all about learning and improving myself as a person. Generally, I just enjoy learning new skills and knowing how to do things when I need to. If I can't do something, I feel obligated to learn how.
I've lived all over the US, and elsewhere. Currently I live close to 5000 miles away from my family home. I have traveled to Mexico and the Bahamas, and generally would enjoy traveling most places with a Level 1 travel advisory and a working sewer system.
Culture is secondary to the person, I would say. My family is old world European (I am second generation, but was raised by my grandparents), and I think my cultural upbringing is probably not typical for an American. But then, is there any such thing as typical, anyway?
I have no idea. I'm not particularly romantic, to be honest.
Introverted, analytical, logical. Sometimes impatient.
That's the question, isn't it?
